L’office américain des brevets, l’United States Patent and Trademark Office, a invalidé, mardi, une partie des brevets sur lesquels s’appuie Oracle dans une plainte de grande ampleur contre Google. Oracle, qui édite notamment Java après le rachat de Sun Microsystems, accuse Google d’avoir délibérément violé plusieurs de ses brevets dans la conception d’Android, le système d’exploitation pour mobiles et tablettes du moteur de recherche, et réclame plusieurs milliards de dollars de dommages et intérêts.
