Après l’intégration de Yahoo ! dans Verizon, le groupe a fait appel à des experts indépendants pour enquêter sur l’ampleur de la cyber-attaque.
Yahoo ! a revu à la hausse le nombre d’utilisateurs impactés par une cyber-attaque en 2013. Mardi 3 octobre, le groupe internet a fait savoir que l’ensemble des 3 milliards de comptes d’utilisateurs avaient été impactés, et non pas seulement 1 milliard comme initialement annoncé.
