En décembre 2017, la mairie de Marseille a annoncé le début du déploiement de son « Observatoire Big Data de la tranquillité publique » à l’issue d’un appel d’offre remporté par l’entreprise Engie Inéo, leader du marché de la vidéosurveillance.
